POSITION SUMMARY
Provide technical support on small to large capital oil and gas midstream facility projects for the Bakken Infrastructure group. Responsible for mechanical engineering activities associated with facility design and procurement in accordance with company requirements, codes, standards, etc.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop or progress Mechanical Engineering project scopes, designs, and specifications.
Responsible for project from conceptual design, through detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
Serving as the project lead and/or contributing to a team of discipline engineers on project execution
Prepare equipment data sheets.
Prepare/Review project deliverables including P&IDs, plot plans, piping isometrics, piping layout, pipe stress calculations, and vessel calculations
Prepare and issue requests for quotations, purchase specifications, bid evaluations, and purchase requisitions.
Evaluate and prepare technical bid tabs for major equipment construction.
Review and approve vendor documentation and drawings for equipment on assigned projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Experience with Engines and Compressors preferred
Experience in Construction or Heavy Equipment is a plus
Familiar with the ANSI, API, NFPA, ASME, ASTM, AWS, ISO, NACE and OSHA standards.
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft software, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to formulate and communicate sound recommendations.
Capable of working in team oriented environment with ability to influence others.
Willing to accept responsibility and accountability.
Some travel is required
Education, Training & Certifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering required, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering preferred
